About nuoveXT
The goal of nuoveXT is to provide a very complete set of icons for Linux (Gnome and KDE), Mac OS X and Windows. All icons are made entirely with Inkscape. A few icons were based or found in the Open Clip Art Library.
The project started in 2005 when I discovered Inkscape. I created some icons just for fun. It was the first time I was designing icons and I wanted others to tell me what they think of them. So I posted them at GNOME-look.org and KDE-look.org. The reaction was very positive so I decided to create a full set, well almost :-).
Two years later, I decided to revamp the look of the set and I released nuoveXT 2. It's still a work in progress but it's very usable. Here's a preview of the set:
